Medical kit/ first aid kit is a must have kit that every home should have, especially those with children. A well organized medical kit can easily guide you or any family member to provide the right medicine for your little one even in your absence.
Use this checklist to find out which all medicines and first aid essentials you should have in your kit.
Medicines and tools :
- Digital thermometer
- Nasal aspirator – for children who are unable to blow their noses
- Adol/fevadol – Liquid pain relievers or medicine for fever containing paracetamol.
- Keep a no-needle dosing syringe/measuring spoon.[Make sure you follow the dosage instructions on the label or as prescribed by your doctor]
- Mucolytic – Cough Syrup
- Anti- diarrheal medicine – for treating diarrhoea(loose motion)
- Anti allergic medicine
- Saline drops for nasal congestion(cold)
- Eye drops for eye infection
- Medicine for burn

First aid kit
- Band aid in various sizes and shapes
- Adhesive tape
- Finger bandage
- Dettol to clean wounds
- Cotton
- Antiseptic wipes to clean cuts and wounds
- Sterile gauze
- Disposable sterile gloves
- Tweezers to remove splinters and thorns
- A pair of sharp scissors to cut plaster and bandage
